G.A.L. (Local Action Group) DELL’ALTA MARCA TREVIGIANA

The Local Action Group (hereinafter GAL) of the Alta Marca Trevigiana was established as a company on February 19, 2008, and currently includes 49 public and private members. Among these are the Province of Treviso, the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso, 25 municipalities of the Alta Marca Trevigiana, as well as a broad representation of the productive sector, including almost all trade associations from the primary sector, some outstanding agri-food producers typical of the area, and the volunteer sector.

The GAL’s members are undoubtedly the most representative public and private entities concerning the rural development issues of the municipalities within the GAL’s area of responsibility.

In addition to implementing its own Local Development Plan (LDP), the GAL aims to act as a true Local Development Agency, supporting public and private development actors in the area by helping them identify and pursue development opportunities. This is in line with Article 4 of the GAL’s Statute, as amended by the extraordinary assembly on June 15, 2023, to align with the new references of the LEADER 2023–2027 programming period, which defines the objectives and purposes of the GAL, as outlined below:

“The non-profit organization aims to promote the launch of new economic initiatives and to enhance the human, material, and immaterial resources of the territory, fostering collaboration among local authorities, private entrepreneurs, and other public and private development stakeholders. The organization may achieve this goal in close connection with the needs and requirements of its members, as well as those of third parties in general.”
