AZ. AGR. PERANDIN SERGIO

Description

The farm raises bees under an ICEA-certified organic system, practicing nomadism to the mountains. Hives are moved throughout the year to follow more blooms and find healthier, pesticide-free environments.

Starting in Montello with the production of acacia honey, hives continue on the Asiago plateau for the production of dandelion honey, mountain wildflower honey and fir honeydew; others migrate to Monfenera for the production of chestnut honey and to Mount Garda in Lentiai for linden honey.

The honey is extracted cold and no microfiltration systems are used, but the slower process of decanting is used with the aim of not removing pollen grains naturally present in honey and keeping the natural qualities at their best.

In addition to tending bees and honey, Sergio raises laying hens on Montello and grows kiwi and chestnuts.
