STRADA DEL PROSECCO and wines and hills Conegliano Valdobbiadene

The Strada del Prosecco e Vini dei Colli Conegliano Valdobbiadene, formed in 2003, is the heir to the Strada del Vino Bianco, inaugurated back in 1966, Italy’s first wine artery.

Large stretches of that historic route have now been taken, but they have been joined by 3 additional thematic routes capable of enhancing the whole territory, its different viticultural landscapes and the many attractions, including historical-artistic ones, scattered along the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene.

In this way, the new Route responds to the demands of the modern wine tourist who is hungry not only for great wines and typical products, but also for all those landscape, environmental and broader cultural components that all together form the soul and deep matrix of a territory.

So in addition to the main route of about 90 km, other opportunities for discovery penetrate and climb along the hills from Conegliano to Valdobbiadene and neighboring areas. The visitor is guided through uninterrupted vineyards, villages and towns where one can breathe in the flavor of the centuries-old oenological art of these lands, giving glimpses and landscapes of authentic beauty and great charm, along with medieval testimonies, hermitages, centuries-old churches, traces of the rural civil and religious history of the people here. Not forgetting the possibility of encountering, in the many places scattered along the route, typical cuisine and products. But above all, the road offers the visitor the opportunity to choose the itinerary closest to his or her own sensibilities and predilections.
