Our winery was founded in 2005 from an idea of Cesare De Stefani and Luigi Flisi, with the aim of producing a Valdobbiadene DOCG of absolute excellence, made from grapes harvested exclusively by hand.
The two partners and friends chose to name their winery Vigna Sancòl in honor of the first vineyard with rustic purchased together. In 2020, following the death of Luigi Flisi, his daughter Marina took over the winery co-management, proud to continue the project undertaken by her father.
Vigna Sancòl is located in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DCOG Hills where microclimate and soil generate a natural oasis for growing Glera grapes and where vines are cultivated in “heroic viticulture,” among the hillsides. The result is a light and delicate wine, characterized by a straw-yellow color and a fine but persistent perlage with a fresh and lively taste and appropriately balanced sweetness and acidity.
In the Vigna Sancòl winery, grapes mainly from estate vineyards are transformed by expert winemakers and cellarers into two prestigious types of wines appreciated all over the world: Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG.
In particular, Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze, Cru of the Valdobbiadene DOCG, derives its name from Col Cartizze, where it is produced in a small area of about 100 hectares between the hamlets of Santo Stefano and San Pietro di Barbozza in Valdobbiadene.
