Description

Luganega trevigiana is a fresh sausage typical of the Treviso area, long and thin, usually sold rolled in a spiral. Made from selected pork, it is flavored with salt, pepper, garlic and sometimes white wine. It is a versatile sausage, the star of grilled meats, skewers, but also in soups, risottos and sauce preparations. Compared to other luganeghe in northern Italy, Treviso’s is distinguished by its balanced flavor and artisanal processing that ensures a good quality of the finished product. It is often served with polenta or potatoes from the area, and is featured in the dishes of festivals and popular festivals. It is a symbol of Veneto conviviality and the norcina tradition.
